Keeping in that mission, CRA has proudly signed on to bring you ice fishing rods made by adults with disabilities.
From 1970 to 1990, a facility that provides an industrial work setting for adults with disabilities made swish style fishing rods. The rods came in 2 sizes: large and small. They also made an electronic rod, which would be the grandfather of today's tip alarms.
In 1990, they scrapped the program, and put the rods along with the parts to make them in storage. They became forgotten until the summer of 2010 when a team leader and staff was cleaning out the garage and found the rods tucked way in the back.
CRA's online store has been charged to sell these rods as a fund raiser for the facility. Since the rods have been written off for decades, all proceeds go back to the facility and the support of adults with disabilities.

The small Swish Rod has a 5 inch reel, 11 inch fiberglass rod,11 inch carved wooden handle, built in bi-pod stand, ice buster and removable spring bobber.This is the perfect rod and reel combo for shallower water (up to 20 feet) The large Swish Rod has an 8 inch reel, 18.5 inch fiber glass rod, 14.5 carved wooden handle. The Large Swish rod comes with two rod styles: medium (for large perch, walleye, or northern pike), and light (for perch, panfish, and walleye) The large combo is perfect for deeper water (over 20 feet), each turn of the reel pulls in 18 inches of line.
